1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a Groomy account or using the Groomy app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app. These terms are published by GROOMY MOBILE APPLICATION (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED.
2. The service
Groomy is a two-sided booking platform, made up of two apps. Customers use the Groomy app to discover salons, view the services they offer, and reserve an appointment time with a specific staff member. Salon owners use the Groomy Business app to list their salon, services, and staff, and to manage the bookings that come in. Groomy is not itself a salon and does not perform grooming or beauty services. Those are provided by independent salons and staff listed in the app.
3. Accounts & sign-in
- You must be at least 18 years old to use Groomy or Groomy Business. We don't verify age at sign-up, but creating an account means you're confirming you meet this requirement.
- You sign in with a phone number, verified by a one-time code (OTP). You're responsible for keeping access to that phone number secure.
- You agree to provide accurate information (name, location) when you register or update your profile.
- One account is for one person; don't create an account on someone else's behalf without their permission.
4. Making bookings
- A booking is confirmed once the app returns a confirmation with a booking token, not before.
- Availability shown in the app reflects what the salon has marked open; it can change if a salon adjusts staff hours or availability.
- If two customers attempt to book the same slot, the first confirmed booking holds it; the other will be asked to pick a different time.
- You're responsible for arriving at the correct salon, on time, for a booking you've made.
5. Cancellations & no-shows
You can cancel a booking any time before the appointment from inside the app, on the booking's details page. Groomy doesn't charge cancellation fees itself. Repeated no-shows may affect your ability to book with a given salon in future.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the app to harass, threaten, or defraud a salon, staff member, or another user.
- Attempt to bypass the booking system to make repeated fake or placeholder bookings.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the app or the services behind it.
- Impersonate another person or provide false identity information.
7. Uploaded content
Groomy and Groomy Business both let you upload photos, a profile photo, or for salon owners, salon and staff photos. By uploading a photo, you agree to:
- Only upload content you own or have permission to use.
- Grant Groomy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the app, for the purpose you uploaded it for.
- Not upload anything offensive, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights.
We can remove uploaded content that breaks these rules, without notice.
8. Role of salons
Salons listed on Groomy are independent businesses, not employees or agents of Groomy. The quality, safety, and outcome of a service you receive is between you and the salon. Groomy is not a party to that service and does not guarantee the accuracy of a salon's listed services, pricing, or staff availability beyond what the booking system confirms.
9. Salon owner responsibilities
If you use Groomy Business to list a salon, you agree to:
- Keep your business profile, services, pricing, and staff information accurate and up to date.
- Honor bookings confirmed through the app, or cancel them with reasonable notice to the customer.
- Comply with the laws, permits, and licensing requirements that apply to running your salon.
- Only list a business you have the authority to represent.
- Only use a client's name and phone number to fulfill and manage the booking they made with you, not to contact them for anything unrelated.
- Not share a client's personal information with anyone else without their consent.
10. Payments
Unless a specific booking states otherwise, payment for services is made directly to the salon at the time of service. Groomy does not process payment card details through the app.
11. Intellectual property
The Groomy name, app, and its content (excluding salon-provided listings and images) belong to GROOMY MOBILE APPLICATION (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial booking purposes only.
12. Liability
The app is provided “as is.” To the extent permitted by law, Groomy is not liable for the acts, omissions, or service quality of any salon, or for losses arising from a missed, delayed, or incorrectly booked appointment caused by inaccurate information you provided or by a salon's own scheduling changes.
13. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, for example repeated fraudulent bookings or abuse of salons through the app. You can delete your own account at any time; see Delete your account.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, with courts in Ernakulam, Kerala having exclusive jurisdiction, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above, and where appropriate, announced in the app.
